“A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge.” Psalm 91:7-9

These days, more than just about any, Christians find themselves thankful for the hope we have in Christ, redemption, and eternal life. Unlike others, we have hope and a purpose, and because of that our hearts are full of thanksgiving during times of continued uncertainty.

Though a thousand fall on one side and ten thousand beside, our hope can stand bravely in the one who creates and orchestrates it all.

What an appropriate time to look into the good things God has done! As Paul has instructed in Philippians, to keep our mind focused on what is good, pure and of good report, let’s look at some answered prayers.

We will be reviewing a devotional recollection of Smith Wigglesworth:
I remember one day I was holding a meeting, my uncle came and said, “Aunt Mary would like to see you before she dies.” I went to see her, and she was assuredly dying. I said, “Lord, can’t you do something?” All I did was stretch out my hands and it seemed there was an immediate glory and power of the Lord. Aunt Mary cried, “It’s going all over!” That day she was made completely whole.

One day I was preaching, and a man brought a boy that was wrapped up in bandages. It was impossible for him to walk, so it was difficult for him to walk onto the platform. They passed him over about six seats. The power of the Lord was so present to heal, and so came over the child and he cried, “Daddy, its all over me!” They took the bandages off of him, and found he was made whole.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The same God who parted the seas and healed the lepers is One we serve. In life, He is glorified; and in death, He is glorified still.
